This rare gemstone is unique because the color will change depending on the type of light. In a cooler light (daylight) the color will be a deep teal-green. In warmer light (candlelight, warm home lighting) the color will be a rich plum-purple. In other light you may see a mix of the two. The color-change effect is caused by natural characteristics of the mineral.
